About Sabine Heubusch

Sabine Heubusch has been certified as an Alexander Technique teacher since June 2001, when she graduated from the American Center for the Alexander Technique in New York City. Originally from Austria, she received her BA in Music and Movement (Dalcroze Eurhythmics) from the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna/ Austria.

Sabine moved to New York in 1993, when she was awarded a dance scholarship from the Ministry of Arts and Education/Austria and studied Contemporary Dance and Contact Improvisation. Her dancing is influenced by Tango, Salsa, and Punta, which she pursued on her extensive traveling throughout South and Central America. Sabine founded RASA Dance in 2005 and works and performs in different venues and site-specific outdoor areas in New York. In 2002 Sabine became a certified Pilates Mat teacher and in 2003 she was certified as a Hatha/Ishta yoga teacher. Sabine teaches adults, children of all ages and children with special needs in public schools, music and art schools, universities, fitness studios, and her private practice in New York and throughout Europe.

Sabine loves to share her experience, creativity, and knowledge in her teaching and greatly appreciates what she learns from her students. The Alexander Technique has had a profound impact on Sabine’s life and supports her in her mission and commitment to well-being and the arts.
